Networking, connection and a little something unexpected

Date: Saturday 20th March

Time: 5.30 - 7pm

Location: Meet us in Level 5 foyer

Please join us at 5.30 in the level 5 Foyer for drinks and canapes.

For those who feel like a good laugh, we are lucky enough to have the wonderful Lucy O'Hagan and Glenn Colquhoun taking us on a wild ride around

what is both too big and too small to see in medicine at times - the unseen currents of the health system and the hidden anatomies of the consultation

itself. Through story-telling, poetry, song and performance you will be inspired, challenged and allowed to wonder at what might be possible in the

practice of medicine.

We will wrap up at 7pm where you will be free to head to whichever of the many Auckland dining options you have chosen.

Lucy is a GP, writer, performer, speaker, teacher and mentor. She has studied the social science of medicine, narrative practice and kaitiakitanga. Her book Everything But the Medicine explores the complex human stories in the consultation, the character 'doctor' and the idea of a story doctor.

Lucy is a columnist for NZ Doctor and in 2024 recorded audio stories and reflections written during the pandemic. Waiting for Covid is available on podcast platforms.

Lucy's one woman show with 32 characters, Inside the GP Consultation is currently touring New Zealand. More information on her website www.lucyohagan.com
